Sunfest: Where Music Meets the Water Front

Emily Saba, Staff Writer

Sunfest has been South Florida’s premiere music festival for over 30 years. This year, it takes place from April 27th to May 1st.

The lineup has been announced, and doesn’t disappoint. Artists of all genres will be there. Some performers familiar to radio-listeners, such as Jason Derulo, Meghan Trainor, and Walk the Moon will be featured.

“I like Bastille so I mostly want to go see them,” says Junior Adrienne Crow.

Along with premiering over 50 musicians, Sunfest hosts the Juried Fine Art and Crafts Show from Friday, April 29th to Sunday, May 1st. Over 150 national artists are featured, creating works such as paintings, jewelry, and other crafts. Fireworks will close the event on Sunday, May 1st, at 9pm.

Until March 11th, you can get tickets for a lower price. For adults ages 13 and up, a one day pass is $35, a two day pass is $55, and a five day pass is $75. After this date, the prices will go up to $40, $60, and $80, respectively. On April 24th the prices will go up even higher, so make sure you order tickets soon.
