Olympic Heights was no match for the Chiefs Boys Varsity Basketball team who has been on a roll their past few games. Boys Varsity has a five-game winning streak and does not look to be slowing down anytime soon.

In the first quarter of the game, the Chiefs were trailing by four with the score being 11-15. Once the team got into their groove, however, they were unstoppable, having a 9 point lead at the half.

In the third and fourth quarters of the game, the Chiefs continued to dominate on both sides of the ball and furthered their lead. The Chiefs scored 49 of their points in these quarters.

Defensively, the Chiefs were able to stop their opponent from doing pretty much anything and were able to hold the Lions to just 54 points.

Offensively, almost everyone got involved with scoring. The Chiefs were able to attack the rim and make plays. Chance Dixon, one of the Chiefs leading scorers every game led the team with 23 points including 5 three-pointers.

In the end, the final score was 82-54. This is one of the Chiefs’ highest-scoring games of the season. If they continue to play the way they did in this game, the Chiefs have a true shot at becoming district champions.

The Chiefs take on their cross-town rival, Park Vista, this Friday, at home. JV plays at 6:00 pm. Varsity plays at 7:30 pm. This game will be a huge tell on if the Chiefs are ready to win Districts.
