The Boys Varsity Basketball team lost to Park Visa for the third time this season, 56-55. The Chiefs held the lead throughout the game till the last minute, when the Cobras scored a three pointer.

The Chiefs played Park Vista with a new mindset and game plan than before. The Chiefs reduced the amount of threes scored by the Cobras with amazing defense throughout the game. This left the Cobras’ score less than the Chiefs’ for a large sum of the game, from the first to the third quarter. At a point in the game, the Chiefs led by 12 points.

After a couple back to back points, the Cobras played with amazing energy and never gave up on any play. They played amazing defense that led the Chiefs to slowly fall behind. Also, the Chiefs missed 3 out of 4 free throws that could have secured their win.

Chance Dixon led the team with 14 points followed by Crisnel Francois with 11 points. These players played with great intensity throughout the game; they stayed consistence with the points they were putting up throughout the game.

The Chiefs move forward into the state tournament and play against Dwyer High School, February 20th.
