“My most memorable memory was when I visited family in Jacksonville over the summer and we went to Orlando, Saint Augustine and then I don’t know we didn’t go to church! so that was great and we cooked food. It was just my aunt, my cousin and me so it was like a family bonding day. While we were in Orlando, we got our faces drawn and mine was super ugly. I know now to never trust those people to make me look pretty. My Aunt made a lot of different food there, especially tortillas. We went shopping and bought a lot of candy in Saint Augustine and then we had dinner with the family and that was great.”

Carla Hernandez, Staff Writer
Hello! My name is Carla J. Hernandez and I'm a senior at Santaluces High School. I am passionate about self-expression through art including writing and painting. I spend most days locked away in my room with a blank canvas, fresh paint and scattered paintbrushes around me. On the days I'm not painting I'll have my head crammed in a new book or studying for a class.
