Kyaija Forestal: Class of 2017

Over the weekend, I had the opportunity to interview a Santaluces graduate. Her name is Kyaija, and she graduated back in 2017.

Some students and teachers may remember her because she was a part of the cheer team. Let’s see what she has to say for all students at Santaluces right now.

At first, not being apart of Santaluces was scary and a shock at first, but as she transitioned into adulthood, it became easier. At the time, cheerleading was everything to her, but now she has bigger and better things to influence her future.

She no longer cheers, but would do anything to come back to high school and do it all over again. Other than cheerleading, her hobbies now consist of painting, cooking, and doing things she’s never done before.

After high school, Kyaija continued her education and attended the School of Psychology at UCF.

One thing that she says she never used out of high school was “y=mx=b,” but she still recommends learning and mastering those types of subjects.

“The biggest thing I learned from high school is to always live in the moment, no one is promised tomorrow,” says Kyajia.
