Senior Valeria Rios is a Chief that embodies school spirit. Rios is a member of the Varsity Cheerleading Team. You may have seen her on top of the human pyramid during football games or pep rallies.

Cheerleading is nothing new to Rios, as she’s been cheerleading since she was in the 1st grade. After moving to Florida, Rios had to put cheer on pause. In her junior year of high school, Rios decided it was time to pick up the pom-poms once again.

Rios describes her favorite part of cheer as learning all of the stunts since she is a flyer, after all. In her junior year, Rios also helped coach the Boys Powderpuff Cheer team. The night the boy’s football team won the district championship is a memory that Rios will take with her as her favorite memory from cheerleading.

On top of cheerleading, Rios also balances rigorous classes along with her busy cheer schedule.  Currently, Rios is early admitting at Palm Beach State in pursuit of her Associate Arts Degree. In the future, Rios plans to transfer to FIU for Public Relations.
