Delilah is an outstanding student here at Santaluces. Linan is part of the cheer team, SGA, National Science Honor Society, student council, and Chemistry Club.

On the cheer team, Linan is co-captain. She is in charge of cheers. This entails helping her teammates on her team and making sure practice runs smoothly to execute a great routine.

“My team shows cheers to me that they would like to add to our routine, and I decide whether we should add it or not.”

Linan has always had a passion for dancing. In her first year at Santaluces, there was no dance team, and the closest thing was cheerleading, so she decided to try out.

“When I got there, it seemed very hard and I was nervous; I didn’t want to try out but I did and I made JV. I worked myself up to varsity, then to becoming co-captain; I fell in love with the sport.”

Delilah is part of many clubs including SNHS. During her first year, she contributed to setting up the annual Haunted House and helping run it. Future events are Relay for Life. This is a fundraiser “for a future free from cancer”(Relay For Life).

With all her clubs, she is also able to manage AICE and Honor classes. This includes AICE International, Psychology, AICE English Language, and SGA. She is Vice-Class president for her Sophomore class and plans to work with her student council to improve their environment and experience.

“The student government has everything to do with the school plans, homecoming, and spirit week. I am in charge of PR social media and in charge of updating the page with pictures, TikToks that engage the audience. I am constantly making posters for school.”

Future plans for Delilah are to attend Florida State University. She plans on studying and focusing on law. Her end goal is to become a criminal defense lawyer.
