“This past football season was my first year on the varsity team. I didn’t really play much, but sometimes I got in. One time I got in on a kick return and I was pretty nervous. It was my first time, but I still scored. I was so happy the team was cheering me on and the crowd was going wild. It was all so great, however, it came to an end when the referee called a penalty and the kick return got called back. We were all disappointed, but we just accepted it. We ended up losing the game, but I wasn’t mad.”
