“I started doing SFX makeup in September of 2015 because I really wanted to have a cool costume for halloween. After halloween had past, I just kept going and doing it more often.  It quickly became a hobby of mine that I really enjoy. My parents have even encouraged me to pursue it as a career because they think that I do it so well. I don’t think I’m going to go into it as a job considering I’m probably going to school for neuroscience. I want to keep doing it as a hobby, though. I think it’s really fun to freak people out. Every time I post a picture of a really bloody cut or gash on Instagram or Snapchat, I get so many responses from people asking if I’m okay or wondering if I’m headed to the hospital. It’s something I hope to get even better at as time goes on.”
