Recently, I had the chance to interview one of our Santaluces Tribe members Daylin Arce. She is a sophomore here at Santaluces Community High School. Outside of school she takes dance classes as well as teaching them for toddlers. She is very outgoing, kind, and a genuine person.

“I am very kind and understanding.”
How do you balance academics with extracurriculars, family, and personal time?
“I stay organized and plan my time well. This helps me keep up with school while still having time for family, friends, and myself.”
What are you looking forward to this school year?
“I’m looking forward to meeting new people, making new friends, and creating positive and fun experiences and memories through this school year.”
What are your plans after high school?
“My plans after high school are going to college to become an ultrasound technician, as I am very interested in joining the medical field helping others.”
What’s your favorite school memory so far?
“My favorite memories this year are all the new friends I made as well as all the fun spirit weeks and pep rallies.”
What are your hobbies outside of school?
“Outside of school I enjoy spending time with all my family and friends, listening to music, and just relaxing in my free time.”
What’s some advice you’d give upcoming freshmen?
“Some advice I’d give upcoming freshmen is to stay organized, manage your time well, and don’t be afraid to ask your teachers for help on any type of assignments or just things in general that you don’t understand.”
