Trends for Any Holiday Party

Holiday Fashion

The holiday season has arrived and that means endless parties and events to attend. Whether it’s Christmas, Hanukkah or Kwanzaa, it’s the perfect time to show off your holiday spirit and style. Like any other fashion season there are trends but holiday trends have developed a lane of their own. From ugly sweaters to sequined dresses, here is what you’ll see at your holiday gatherings.

Bright Jewel Tones

Red, green, and blue are always safe choices for any holiday event; but you are limiting your options to just a few colors. This season broaden your color scheme with jewel tones from amethyst purple, topaz yellow or emerald green.

Sweaters

You can’t beat a sweater this time of year, even in Florida. Go for the “ugly” sweater approach or plain a sweater with added details that makes it more festive. They’re the perfect “throw on and go” piece sure to make you holiday ready in an instant.

 Sequins and Sparkle

Wearing something bright and shiny is the perfect way to stand out without looking like you tried too hard. A sequined dress or skirt in any color will work; also, you’ll be sure to catch everyone’s eye with the cool reflective effect.

Mesh and Tulle

Mesh and tulle work great as overlays on dresses and skirts and add a bit of skin in a playful way. They also are prefect for layering and spicing up a boring outfit.

Black and White

This color combination is a staple in every closet for a clean, sleek, sophisticated look and also works great for the holidays. Whether it’s neither color or a pairing of the two, you’ll undoubtedly look put together in black and white.

Layering

One of my favorite trends of 2017 is layering clothes. It adds that extra flare to a boring spaghetti strap dress or plain shirt. Layering strapless dresses with long or short sleeve shirts or throwing on another jacket give off the vibe that you really took time to put your outfit together, even if that’s the exact opposite.

You can always mix and match these trends for your upcoming holiday parties and get togethers. Dress to impress this season or chill in your ugly sweaters, it’s the prefect way to bring in the new year.
