The Santaluces bowling team consists of 10 boys and 2 girls, the chiefs are currently placed third in Palm Beach County. The team is coached by Santaluces History teacher Mr.Weiner.

Last Monday, they played against Spanish River and won two main games and two baker games. In the end, they won 7-2 against Spanish River. They were lead by several seniors, including Trysten Bacon. Bacon is from South Tech High School who plays for the Santaluces team since there are no sports offered at his school.

“Playing for Santaluces is actually really great because, well I played for them last year and we were alright, but this year I feel like we have a chance of getting to the finals” expressed Trysten Bacon

As first year head coach, Mr. Weiner has high expectations for his team. Last year he was placed as the assistant coach but now he is enjoying the challenge of taking on the head coach position.

“The team is doing really well this year” stated Mr.Weiner

Being that the bowling team has been apart of Santaluces for a while now the expectations are high for the bowling chiefs as last year they finished the season ranked 5th in the district, the question now is will they stive for the top and make this an unforgetable season.
