These tacky tourists have a little picnic at lunch by the Chief Head.

Clad in big hats, floral shirts, and khakis Santaluces students dressed up as tacky tourists. With their disposable and old cameras- it became easy to mimic tourists we see on a regular basis. Some borrowed from their parents closets, while others actually went out to buy the tackiest thing they could find.

“It’s cool,” said senior Ashnide Jean-Baptiste. “It’s a fun way to connect with each other.”

Tacky Tourist Tuesday was a smash hit, who knows what’s next in store for childhood day.

Hey, I'm Colleen, I'm a Junior- and this is my second year writing for The Tribe. I am a avid reader, and Harry Potter fanatic. I long to experience seasons, especially fall and winter, so I can actually ice skate and have it not be weird. Halloween is my favorite holiday, so you'll most likely see me dressed up as something new every year. I mostly write entertainment, but I write news and opinion as well.

Greetings, my name is Shuruq Daas and this year I am a senior. This is my second year at Santaluces and first year joining the newspaper. I love writing and reading and hope to pursue a career in journalism. A few facts about me are, I'm from Palestine, I speak Arabic, I enjoy a good company and like to be active and have fun. One other thing is that I hate hate hate hate HATE cats! It's a fear I will always have.
