This year’s Homecoming Pep Rally featured zombie teachers, powderpuff cheerleaders, and the football team. Coach Coe thanked the students for their support of the football team throughout their season and encouraged students to come out the Homecoming game that night. He then introduced a young boy named Danny as the legacy for the Chief football team, as Danny lead the student body in a cheer.
The undefeated class of 2018 powderpuff team, and the junior team were welcomed and after their respective cheerleaders were introduced. The Powderpuff cheerleaders then rushed onto the courts, performed stunts, a dance a routine to throwback songs and current hits.
Arguably the highlight of this pep rally was the zombie-themed performance from the teachers of Santaluces. Student’s favorite teachers were in full zombie make-up and clothing while dancing to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.”
Finally, it came down to the final moments of the pep rally and the desperately desired Spirit Stick was awarded to the Junior class of 2019.
