“I started running track in 6th grade. I first started it to be with my best friend, but eventually I surpassed her. I surpassed her because I grew to love this sport. Over the years I progressed into high school categories. I never believed I was going to make it far, but now I’m on my way. Based on previous years, even with side-tracked love of wrestling, I have colleges looking at me. I have coaches looking out for me and talking to colleges especially the one of my dreams, FIU. I was not always the best student, but my sport helped me. Not everything is always as happy in my life, but track helped me. Track elevated my mind, body and heart when nothing else could.”

Marie Bobb, Staff Writer
Hey, It's Marie! I am 17 years old and currently a Junior at Santaluces High. I have a strong passion for fashion and writing, so I decided the perfect job for me would be a fashion editor. This is my second year in newspaoer and I absolutely love it. I've been in Florida my whole life but if my plans go right, I will end up in D.C. for college. I plan on going to Howard University because out of all HBCUS, Howard has the highest number of journalism and fashion students. I am also a dancer at Santaluces and I have been since 9th grade. I hope to continue journalism for as long as I can.
