“On the first day of school at Santaluces, I thought it would be bad because of all the stories I heard, but it actually turned out to be pretty cool. I met up with friends that I haven’t seen in years. At first I had trouble with many things: grades, behavior, and many other things, but then I met a teacher and a really close relative that guided me through it. So now I’m doing so much better and I feel like Santaluces is a very good fit for me. Has it been easy? No, not really. I talked to an AP, Mr. Ramos, who basically helped me. As I went on I did things I never thought I was good at like football which I’m going to continue to do until I make it so that was my experience on the first day of school.”

Marie Bobb, Staff Writer
Hey, It's Marie! I am 17 years old and currently a Junior at Santaluces High. I have a strong passion for fashion and writing, so I decided the perfect job for me would be a fashion editor. This is my second year in newspaoer and I absolutely love it. I've been in Florida my whole life but if my plans go right, I will end up in D.C. for college. I plan on going to Howard University because out of all HBCUS, Howard has the highest number of journalism and fashion students. I am also a dancer at Santaluces and I have been since 9th grade. I hope to continue journalism for as long as I can.
