“My favorite memory of Santaluces is when I met all my new friends. In middle school, I made a lot of friends, but when I got to high school, I didn’t talk to most of them. I thought I would focus on school work and passing my classes, but after freshman year, I realized I had gotten really lonely, spending most of my time without company, this changed around the end of sophomore year when I met my three best friends that I hang out with today. It’s crazy how a simple conversation can lead to a huge friendship and I recommend that people make friends because they are there for you when you need them, and it helps keep you company. Not only that, but most the time you have similar classes or some of the same teachers and you can help each other out in school. I think that meeting my friends was amazing, and I feel that everyone should have this opportunity just like me.”

Hello, my name is Joe-Joe Matuella. This year is my senior year and my first year with the Tribe and I am excited for a great year. I have been a photographer since I was 8 years old working with my father's photography company, and I am eager to share my pictures with everyone who visits our website. I love sports but have not been able to stick with one; I dabbled with baseball in the fall of my freshman year and football in the spring of my sophomore year. The Tribe offers me the opportunity to participate with the sports I love in a new manner of photographing and writing about them.
