“Every year since I was ten years old, I would sneak down to the tree and carefully unwrap my moms gifts. I would then make a list of all the gifts, so the next morning while she is opening them up I would tell her what the gift was before she finished unwrapping the gift. Like last year, my godmother got my mom a purse but when she wrapper it she put it into a box, so my mom wouldn’t be able to guess what the gift was. So while she was opening the gift I said “I really like the purse she got you!”. This has been a little tradition that my family has done since I was little.”

Hi, my name is Haley and I am a senior this year at Santaluces. This is my first year on The Tribe and I'm excited to share my ideas with the school. I've been on the varsity swim team for four years and the varsity wrestling team for three years. This past year I came in 3rd place at the Florida Girls States for wrestling at the 106 lb weight class. It was my first time competing at Girls States and I was shocked to see how many girls were actually competing in the tournament. I can't wait to see what this upcoming wrestling season has in stored for me and hope to be able to return to the Florida Girls States to grab the 1st place title. When I'm not at practice, I usually spend my time going to the beach and going on adventures with my friends. I love the ocean and marine life, which is why I'm excited to further my education at a university to study marine biology.
