“When I first joined the Be the Change club, I was overly nervous. I’m not the best at social interaction but I really wanted to help the community, so I gave BTC a shot. This club went beyond my expectations! The members were friendly, involved, and passionate for the club and what it stood for. I not only made a positive difference for the community but also gained great friends and as cheesy as it sounds, a family. I will miss the senior members and will anticipate the new ones that will hopefully come next year. This club isn’t only about community service, but creating memorable experiences that will stay with us for years to come. I am proud to be apart of Be the Change and hope others will join us next year. As the succeeding president for Be the Change I welcome any and all students who are interested in joining and promise to do my best to make the club as enjoyable as it was for me.”

Nicole Kalpin, Staff Writer
Hello, my name is Nicole Kalpin, I'm a senior, and this is my first year writing for the newspaper. I've attended Santaluces since I was a freshman. Most often I'll be spending my time reading, writing, or talking with my friends. I absolutely love listening to music, my favorite being from the Classic Rock genre. I can be described as a quiet person but I can be anything but when you get to know me. After I graduate, I hope to pursue a career in audiology or education.
