“During the summer, I went to Bogota, Colombia. I went for only a month. I visited my family there on my mom’s side. It was great, my grandma would cook for us every night, and she made my favorite food called ‘Bandeja paisa.’ We even had a family reunion on father’s day, everyone showed up to it. It was nice to see everyone, I met for the first time two of my uncles and I saw my aunt who I hadn’t seen in like four years. After my trip to Colombia, I flew back here to Florida and I went almost immediately to Tampa for a G-Eazy and Logic concert. I went with my two best friends. It was a four hour drive and we stayed in The Red Roof Inn, it was nice, I guess. We had to switch rooms, because our one room smelled too much like smoke, but the room we got after that smelled even worse. But that night was really special either way because I was with my two best friends and the energy was really cool, everyone was singing. Even though I was sweating it was really fun. Every time I remember the concert I get sad, because it was great.”

Hi, my name is Viri. I'm a senior here at Santaluces, and it's my first year writing for The Tribe. If i'm not studying, I'm reading. I have a passion for sharing my love of reading with those who avoid books at all costs. I love outer space; the whole concept of nebulas, astroids, and planets fascinates me. Apart from reading, I love playing with my seven-year-old jack Russell, Chavo. I also have a desire to help save the bees.
