“My first swim meet was at Lake Worth High School, it was the first swim meet of the year and I was super nervous. I felt very nauseous. We get to the pool and we do a warm up, and we usually start off with a 300 freestyle warm up, and then our coach would tell us what we were swimming. I was swimming in four events, I was doing the medley relay, 200 freestyle, 500 freestyle, and the 400 free relay. I lost the first event completely, the second event I came in second place, the third event I came in first and I was quite happy, and then the final event I came in last place. I felt victorious and amazing and I ate pizza afterwards as a victory meal. Overall, it felt amazing to participate in my first swim meet and I will never forget it.”
