“I began to play basketball at the end of 7th grade and I didn’t enjoy the first three years. Playing with my siblings was really exciting. I played with my sister and my cousin and I loved spending that time with them. Playing for Santaluces is most of all fun. It really is exciting to meet new members of the team each year. Being around people who enjoy and have a passion for basketball just like me is amazing. We are a family on and off the court. I do see myself playing in the future because I look forward to playing in college but not specifically a certain school at the moment. If or when I get a scholarship for basketball, any school that reaches out to me, I would love to play for them. My ultimate favorite basketball team is the Golden State Warriors.”

Hi, my name is Amy. I'm a Senior here at Santaluces, and I have been here since the start of my high school journey. All four years that I've spent here have been an adventure and this is my first time being a part of The Tribe. I love to write short stories and poems and hopefully I can use my love of writing here at Santaluces. I'm always watching sports; soccer and basketball will always be on the top of my list. I really enjoy music, and jazz is my absolutely favorite. Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin will always be the best. I love to work with kids and I always have a great time volunteering at my church's kid's ministry on the weekends. I wish to live out my dream to become a pediatrician or a registered nurse at a children's hospital. I hope to study medicine either at FAU or WVU.
