“One of my favorite memories from last year would be when I went to the Derek and Julianne Hough tour for my birthday. Derek Hough is my celebrity idol, [and] he is my favorite dancer of all time. For my birthday a friend and I went to one of their shows in Hollywood. We had amazing seats, we were on the floor seventh row down for the stage and I sat on the end. The show was epic, not only as just a fan but as a dancer myself; I enjoyed it to the max. It’s such a difference from seeing it on tv over and over again to being there watching them preform. I felt the energy, the theater; it was surreal. To top it, off Derek Hough went off the stage and went through the whole theatre singing and dancing as he rushed back stage he ran passed me, gave me a high five, turned around and grabbed my hand. He pulled me out of the audience, turned me around and whispered in my ear, “don’t move okay sweet heart,”[and] in that minute he jumped over me, turned around, and gave me a hug. It was a dream come true.”
