A picture of kids trick-or-treating on Halloween.

This Halloween I saw many amazing costumes on social media, at school, and on Halloween night. With so many different costumes it’s hard to pick a favorite, but I asked students at Santaluces High School what theirs was.

The first person I asked, Evelyn Portillo said that her favorite costume was Drake. I love a funny costume so I’m sure that this was amazing. Another hilarious costume that Elizabeth De Jesus told me about is T-Bo from iCarly. Dressing as TV show characters is so fun and provides extra ways for you to make a costume personal to you and your interests. Walter White from Breaking Bad was Jackson Kirkpatrick’s favorite costume of the year.

As someone who spends Halloween with my friends, I always look for good group costumes. This year my best friend and I dressed up as the Lorax and the Onceler. Another great duo costume option, seen by Luz Angel, was Peso Pluma and Bad Bunny.  If you have a bigger group Nicholas Miller said that his favorite costume this year was a smurf, and I think that costume is the perfect opportunity for a large group to match.

Special details added to Halloween costumes make them so much more exciting. Angelina Prieto said that the best costume she saw was Jeff the Killer, and what made it extra creepy was that he was running behind people to scare them. This year Santaluces Psychology teacher, Mr. Gray, dressed as Aladdin with a real flying carpet! Another costume with an outstanding element is Jake from Subway, which Victor San Luis said was his favorite this year.

No matter what Halloween costume you choose to wear this year I hope you had an amazing time! `

Hi! I'm Liliana, but people call me Lily. I'm a Sophomore and this is my first year working with The Tribe. I have a minor obsession with dying my hair and like to change the color often. I like to read, watch movies, and hang out with my friends. This is my second year in the Culinary Arts program and I love to bake.
