Hi, my name is Karen Portillo. I’m a senior. This is my first year partaking in the newspaper team and I’m so excited to see what the year has ahead of us. This year I want to capture the beauty of our school and the student body. I love taking pictures and capturing the natural side of people. Beyond school, I love volunteering in my community and hanging out with my family. I am proud of my Latin roots and hope to show the diversity of this school and its importance. After high school, I hope to attend the University of Florida and major in biology. My dream is to become an Ob-gyn and offer my help to those in need in different countries.
